You are downtown, where do I park?

The Central Park Garage is right across the street from the DDC.  We offer validation for parking for up to one hour.  Pick up a ticket at the front desk before you leave class.
 

 What do I wear to classes?

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.  It is about you and your comfort – wear what makes you feel good!   Some classes may recommend certain types of shoes or other apparel and your teacher can inform you about those items.  Information may be listed in class descriptions as well.
 

 Can I wear street shoes in the dance studio?

We have a beautiful sprung, hardwood floor that naturally, we want to use for many years to come.  Feel free to wear street shoes inside the building; there is a tile entry way, but before stepping onto the floor either remove your shoes or bring a clean pair with you to switch into.  For social events, we will have a shoe cleaning area for you to use before stepping onto the floor.  Thank you for helping us keep our floor clean and beautiful!
 

 Where can I put my belongings during class?

There are lockers and cubbies in the hallways near the bathrooms.  You are welcome to store your belongings in any empty compartment during your class.  There are no long term lockers available.
 

 Why do I have to pay for membership and does that include classes too?

Membership dues go toward our building maintenance, advertising for our artists, and will provide opportunities for our artists to travel and create new work.  Your membership includes one Healthy Living Class by Shelby Smith from Vitality Chiropractic.   Sign up for this class in the workshop section of the scheduler.
 

 How do I pay for classes and a membership?

One way is to use our website.  You can use credit or a debit card in our online store to pay for classes, membership and sign up for classes.  You can also visit us at the studio and take care of it in person with cash, check, debit or credit card.  (Visa and MC only)
 

 I have registered for classes.  When I come to class, how do I check in?

The first time you come to take a class at the DDC, come to the front desk and ask for your key card.  This is a bar coded card that is unique to you.  You use this card at the scanner on the front desk to sign in for the class you are taking.   Be sure to check in every time, teachers are paid based on how many people come to class!
 

 My class is in Studio B – How do I get there with only one entrance?

Each class in studio A will end 5 minutes early to allow passage to Studio B.  If you need to use the restroom, change or want to warm up in Studio B earlier than that, simply pass through the back of Studio A.  All teachers are aware this may happen.
